When you finish the course text your name and state DIP course completed. You must also TEXT a copy of your license and if you have a court order or

if you were DMV required to take the course you need to text a copy of the letter.


Plan to complete the course within ONE YEAR of the date you enrolled.

The fee must be paid by credit card. Go to the credit card button at the top right hand corner of this page to make the payment. Send the REGISTRATION FORM, THEN MAKE THE PAYMENT ON THIS SITE. Once both the registration form and the payment are received you will receive an email to the email address listed on the form with a login and password to begin the course. The fee for the online driver improvement course is $85.. No refund will be issued once you have been

enrolled / registered in the course.

National Driver Training

" National Driver Training"

  • When the student has completed the course they will be required to take the final exam at the Valley Driving School office (117 S. Kent St. Winchester VA 22601) with one of the certified instructors. The student and instructor will set an agreed upon time for the test. Valley Driving School office hours are Monday thru Thursday 9AM-4PM. Other testing appointment times may be requested and agreed upon with a certified instructor.
  • Valley Driving School will provide the computer needed to complete the test. Upon completion of the course including the passing of the final exam the student will receive the Course Completion Certificate. If the student fails the final examination, the student will be allowed to review any section of the completed course to prepare to take the examination again. The school and student will set another agreed upon date for the next attempt.

The program consists of at least 30 hours of instructions and includes components about alcohol safety, drug abuse awareness, aggressive driving, distracted driving, pedestrian and bicycle safety, handicapped parking, fuel efficient driving practices, motorcycle awareness and organ and tissue donation awareness as required by law. ï»¿

  • To benefit from the course, you must be able to work independently and be comfortable with using a computer.
  • The online driver improvement course & final test must be completed through a DMV-Licensed online driver improvement clinic. No paper test permitted.
  • The online driver improvement clinic course is an 8 hour course, including the final test and is designed to rehabilitate problem drivers. The course must be completed in its entirety prior to the issuance of a certificate of completion.
  • Student identification will be verified through-out training and prior to taking the final test to ensure that the person taking the course is the same person taking the final test.
  • Customers directed by the Court must provide documentation from the Court before safe driving point can be awarded.
  • The certificate of completion will be electronically transmitted to all individuals upon successful completion of the course within 24 hours.

  • The DMV standardized certificate, "Online Driver Improvement Clinic Certificate of Completion (DIC 5528B)" is the only document that will be accepted by the Department and the Courts as proof of completion of an online driver improvement clinic.
  • Your completion of the online driver improvement clinic will be posted to your driving record within 24 hours of the completion date of the course.
  • Open book testing is not permitted.
  • Students may attempt the final exam no more than one time per day.
  • It is the students responsibility to determine if your court accepts this computer-based driver improvement course to satisfy court required driver improvement courses.
